4/rdFrom today until the end of Friday 25 September (UTC), rogue pirates are loose on open water across every ocean, marked with a black sail on the sea chart. You see one wherever you have charted its tile, so the further you have explored the more you find. Sink one and another takes to the water somewhere else.
- Bilge Rat: a sloop pack. A handful of war sloops will handle it.
- Cutthroat: a raiding line. Bring frigates.
- Dread Corsair: black sails and heavy guns. Bring a proper fleet.
The Hunt
Send a fighting fleet at a rogue with the new Hunt mission. It is a real fight with your research, your captain and your rations, and you can lose ships, so pick your rogue to suit your fleet.
- Win and you take their Pirate Medallions: 3, 6 or 12 by rogue. Your first win each day pays double.
- Each captain gets ten hunts a day.
- Every hunt is a recorded battle: it shows in the live reports and has a replay page you can share.
