Shipshape

Ten new ships, a harbour count in the header, treasure maps in the inventory, and a long list of small improvements.

Six New Blueprints

Enemy ships find themselves somewhere else.Squall: May wash an enemy ship out each round.Attack 40Hull 50Cargo 20Speed 9Powder 3/rd Squall 15%

One free blueprint for each of the new combat stats, dropping from chests and quests. The Cutter scouts and carries the finds home, and is hard to catch. The Clipper is a fast hauler that a squall does not wash out. The Wetdeck shrugs off fire. The Grapnel boards and patches itself with what it takes. The Reaver plunders the wrecks, win or lose. The Galecutter brings the weather with it.

Two More Member Ships

ThundererThundererHeavyBlueprintsepicA line-of-battle ship with her guns run out before the enemy has cleared for action.Fires first every round, in three broadsides.First Strike: Fires before the enemy each round.Fire Resist: Takes less from fire and explosions.Attack 140Hull 220Cargo 60Speed 3Powder 12/rd First Strike 100% Fire Resist 30% QuartermasterQuartermasterMediumBlueprintsrareA deep-holded stores ship with a proper powder room and a crew who count every cartridge.Fleet uses 15% less powder each, up to 45%.Ballast: Resists being washed out by a squall.Attack 30Hull 160Cargo 3000Speed 5Powder 2/rd Ballast 50%

The Thunderer is a heavy that fires first, every round, in three broadsides. The Quartermaster is a big hauler whose powder room cuts the whole fleet's gunpowder use, more with each one you sail. Members can build every member blueprint, including ones added after they joined.

The Merchantman

MerchantmanMerchantmanHeavyCombatA broad trading hull pressed into the line, a gun deck cut into her hold. Slow, stout, cheap to lose, and her old guns eat powder.Attack 180Hull 200Cargo 150Speed 4Powder 32/rd

A new heavy for the shipyard, no blueprint needed. A broad trading hull with a gun deck cut into her hold: slow, stout, and cheap enough to lose. She sits between the frigate and the galleon, so a fleet can carry heavy hulls into the class fight long before it can afford a galleon, and she is the one to bring against a medium flagship. Her old guns eat powder, so keep the magazine full.

The Runner

RunnerRunnerLightSpecialistA knife of a hull under a press of canvas, built for nothing but speed. Carries next to nothing and gets there first.Attack 5Hull 20Cargo 50Speed 25

The fastest thing afloat, and the last hull Navigation gives you. A knife of a hull under a press of canvas, built for nothing but speed: it carries next to nothing and gets there first. A run to a trade post for a few stores no longer means a swarm of sloops. Dear to build, in gold and bronze, and worth it. The first one earns you a title.

The Founding Charter

Your first port never sits on a bonus tile, so the Warehouse stands in for one: every level adds 1% to all production at the home port. Level 10 matches a Fertile Isle. Colonies keep their tile bonus instead.

Harbour Strip

The header now shows every ship stationed at the port you are looking at, grouped the way the shipyard groups them, with what is at sea beside it. When the row runs out of room, the dots at the end open the full list. It updates as fleets leave and return, deploys land and builds finish.

Treasure Maps

Map pieceCommon Treasure Map: Torn CornerMapPiece 1 of 4. Combine all four pieces to assemble the map. Map piece Treasure mapCommon Treasure MapMapA complete map. Dispatch it to send a fleet after what is buried.

Map pieces are in your inventory now, under Dispatches, beside the Wreckers papers. Combine four pieces into a map and dispatch it from there to start the hunt. Every source hands you a piece you are missing before a spare.

Every Fish Has a Story

Harbour CodHarbour CodFishThe harbour's daily bread. Salted by the barrel and eaten by every crew afloat. 3-40 lbs. Cooks into Harbour Cod Stew. Blue LobsterBlue LobsterFishBlue as a coat of paint before the pot turns it red. Worth its weight in the town. 1-10 lbs. Cooks into Lobster Bisque. SwordfishSwordfishFishHunts at the edge of the light with a blade for a nose. Has holed a boat before now. 50-400 lbs. Cooks into Swordfish Steak. Giant SquidGiant SquidFishEyes like dinner plates and arms that have scarred whales. Hauled up half-dead and still fought. 100-600 lbs. Cooks into Squid Ink Stew. OarfishOarfishFishA ribbon of silver as long as the ship. Seen on the surface only before a storm, they say. 100-500 lbs. Cooks into Roasted Oarfish. Bishop FishBishop FishFishA thing in a mitre that the monks of the coast once tried to convert. Nobody who has seen one fishes alone again. 80-300 lbs. Cooks into Bishop Fish Roast.

All fifty-four species now carry a line of their own, from the harbour cod that feeds every crew afloat to the Sea Monk that was buried with a service, to be safe. You will see it wherever a fish appears: the catalogue, the fishing modal, the town, your inventory.

Iron and Brass

Haunted Citadel Grave IronGrave IronMaterialGun iron pulled from a dead fort. Takes a charge like nothing cast today. Fortress works and the tallest watchtowers want it. Admiralty BrassAdmiralty BrassMaterialFittings stripped from a King's ship. Bearings, blocks and gun tackle that never wear. The great harbours and the Admiralty's charts are built on it. Coastal FortressCoastal FortressHeavyDefenceA stone star fortress. Guns behind walls that take a fleet to bring down.Attack 300Hull 500Powder 20/rd WatchtowerWatchtowerBuildingSets the shore's Defence Capacity and unlocks the heavier pieces. Sees incoming fleets earlier at higher levels. HarbourHarbourBuildingIncreases the number of ships that can be stationed here.

The four and five star ports drop something nothing else does. The Haunted Citadel gives up Grave Iron, gun iron from a dead fort, and the fortress works and the tallest watchtowers want it. The Admiralty Station gives up Admiralty Brass, fittings off a King's ship, and the great harbours and the Admiralty's top charts are built on it. One or two per win, every win, and the chart tile says so. The harder the port, the better its other spoils too: three star ports and up pay chests, four and five star ports are where the rare and legendary map pieces are.

Bring a Captain

SteelSteelResourceForged at Iron Mine level 8+. Required for heavy warships. First Mate Harbourmaster Fleet Admiral

Recruiting pays properly now. Every captain who joins on your link and finishes Captain's Orders brings you 1,000 each of timber, iron, rum, gold and gunpowder, plus 5 Steel, delivered to your home port with a note. Your Referrals page lists your recruits and whether they have graduated yet. The milestone cards have their own art at last.

A Tidier Deck

Fishing Cooking Talents Messages Rankings Settings

The icons top right have been redrawn to be read at a glance, and there are fewer of them. Talents live in the skills tray at the bottom right with Fishing and Cooking. Messages open in place, with the news and your friends list on tabs beside the inbox, so reading a report never takes you off the page. The Discord icon only shows until your account is linked. Captains on the rankings and the Top Captains list carry a full card on hover: flag, alliance, home port, score by category, raid record, flagship. The bounty panel shows which hulls the flagship is weak and strong against. Every material and item icon in the game shares the one rich tooltip.

Crew Colours

Link your Discord account from Settings. Captains in the Dunmast server unlock the Crew Blue dye. Fleet colours now show everywhere your own ships appear, including the battle replay.

  • Most food is stronger. The rarer the fish, the bigger the bonus for the raid it feeds. Speed food shows in the travel estimate as soon as you pick it, and the bounty boss recipes list every stat they carry.
  • Loot bonuses are found on top of what you seize. The port you raid loses only the base amount; only its bounty raises that share.

Fixes

  • Ship tooltips everywhere a hull appears: class, type, coloured stats, abilities.
  • Hover a badge on the Port, Chart or Quests tab to see what is waiting and where.
  • Ships captured in quest fights and alliance raids come home.
  • Item descriptions are flavour; the bonus list is the stats, and gear with a combat effect shows it there.
  • Nothing waits for a refresh any more: View Report on arrival, ship counts after a deploy, Build buttons when your last slot fills.
  • Town shops take a quantity, with a Max button.
  • Port Settings behind a cog by the port name. The Breaker's Yard has its own page. Alliance leaders can hand over leadership.
  • The Academy grants talent points; rows open on points spent in that tree. The heal talents patch every damaged ship between campaign waves.
  • Quest fights list what was lost, captured and taken as a prize, and the report in your inbox carries the battle.
  • A raid beaten off at your port counts as a defence.
  • The Drydock and Breaker's Yard take a proper while to build.
  • Leading an alliance is research now: Leadership at the Navigator's Guild founds one, and each level lets you lead more captains and raises everyone's bonus. Leaders keep the level their Hall had.

Every hull counted and the ledger squared.
