Admiralty Bounty

The Admiralty has posted bounties. Not on petty pirates or smugglers. On the four captains that no navy has been able to bring down. Bring them in and you will be rewarded with Admiralty Seals and rare materials. But there are rumours of something else. Something each captain carries.
The Bounty System
Every ocean now has a bounty bar on the sea chart. Raid NPC ports and the bar fills. When it reaches 100%, the bounty captain spawns and all players in that ocean have 1 hour to commit their fleet.
Four captains rotate through each ocean independently. Defeat one and the next takes their place.
- Varnoth, The Drowned King - devastating broadside barrage every 2 rounds
- Harrow, The Fleet Eater - spawns raider escorts every round
- Blackwell, The Iron Admiral - crippling volleys that leave your ships vulnerable
- Tempest, The Storm Witch - storm surges that damage your entire fleet
Each captain sails a unique flagship built to dominate the battlefield.
Drowned CrownHeavyBlueprintsVarnoth's flagship. A warship raised from the seabed, encrusted with coral and barnacles, impossibly massive.Every 2nd round, a broadside of 30% of its hull to all.Attack 200Hull 800Cargo 0Speed 3Powder 12/rd

Iron SovereigntyHeavyBlueprintsBlackwell's dreadnought. Armoured beyond reason, shrugs off cannonballs, crushes anything in range.Every 2nd round, leaves 3 enemies exposed.Attack 250Hull 1200Cargo 0Speed 2Powder 15/rd
StormbreakerMediumBlueprintsTempest's warship. Wreathed in lightning and gale-force winds that damage everything nearby.Every 3rd round, 15% hull off every enemy, no defence.Squall: May wash an enemy ship out each round.Ballast: Resists being washed out by a squall.Attack 180Hull 700Cargo 0Speed 6Powder 10/rd Squall 15% Ballast 50%
When the boss spawns, you'll get a warning with the captain's portrait and a taunt. Commit up to 15 ships. When the timer expires, every committed fleet fights together against the boss. The battle plays out in full in the visualiser.
Boss HP scales with the number of participants, so the fight is always a real contest regardless of how many captains answer the call. All participants earn Admiralty Seals, doubloons (scaled by contribution), rare materials, and a chance at exclusive drops.
Admiralty Rings
Varnoth's SignetEquipmentA heavy signet ring pulled from the Drowned King's hand. Cold to the touch.
Harrow's BandEquipmentA thin iron band etched with ship tallies. Each mark is a vessel Harrow consumed.
Blackwell's SealEquipmentA naval seal of hammered steel. Blackwell never removed it, even in battle.
Tempest's EyeEquipmentA silver ring set with a pale stone that flickers like lightning behind clouds.
Each bounty captain has a 15% chance to drop their personal ring. Rings are a new equipment slot with a unique progression system. They start dormant and awaken through use.
- Dormant - equip the ring, it starts tracking your raids
- Stirring - 30 raids and 5 Admiralty Seals to unlock the first stat bonus
- Awakened - 100 raids and 15 seals, the ring's unique effect activates at half power
- Trial - pay 40 seals and face the captain's spirit in a solo quest
- Ascended - defeat the trial, full power unlocked, exclusive title earned
Each ring has a combat effect that no other item provides:
- Varnoth's Signet - on kill, splash damage hits all remaining enemies
- Harrow's Band - when you lose a ship, your strongest ship absorbs its attack power
- Blackwell's Seal - your toughest ship absorbs half the damage directed at your fleet
- Tempest's Eye - every 2nd round, your fleet deals bonus damage
Ring progress is visible on the tooltip with a progress bar, current stage, and effect description. When a ring is ready to advance, right-click it and select Reforge.

Each boss drops recipe scrolls (10% chance per recipe). These teach legendary cooking recipes that give stats no regular food provides: evasion, crit chance, crit damage, damage reduction, and gunpowder efficiency. Each recipe combines two unique stats, so there's a real choice about which one to bring on a raid.
Recipes require high-level fish and rare ingredients to cook.
Battle Visualiser
Several upgrades to the battle replay system:
- Per-player fleet labels - in multi-player battles (bounty bosses, co-op campaigns, alliance raids), each player's ships are grouped with their name and portrait
- Boss battle mode - boss flagships are oversized and centered, escorts arranged in formation behind them
- Screen shake on critical hits
- Burn effects on ships taking damage over time
- Ring VFX - each ring effect has a unique visual: rising waves for Tidal Surge, expanding shockwave for Broadside, ghostly pull for Devour, iron shield for Bulwark
Admiralty Seals
Admiralty SealTokenAn official seal from the Admiralty. Earned from bounty boss events.
A new currency earned from bounty boss fights. 2 seals on victory, 1 on defeat. Used to reforge rings through their awakening stages. Seals accumulate over time and represent your commitment to the Admiralty's cause.
Breaker's Yard
Breaker's YardBuildingBreak up unwanted ships and recover a share of their materials. Higher levels recover more, and better.Needs Shipyard 2
A new building for getting rid of ships you don't want. Needs a level 2 Shipyard. Pick any stationed ship on the Shipyard page, choose how many, and break them up for a share of what they cost. A quarter back at level 1, rising to half at level 10, with higher levels recovering rarer materials. Upgrades need naval stores, steel, bronze and a few fishing and campaign drops. Command ships can't be broken up.
Bug Fixes
- Alliance Hall production and fleet speed bonuses now apply correctly
- Fixed fishing boats being rejected from fish schools
- Campaign ship returns no longer silently fail
- Sound effects for fishing (cast and bite) and chest/coin opening
- The public guide was failing to load since the bounty captains arrived. It's back.
The Admiralty is watching. Prove your worth, Captain.
